Edging timer with guided breathing cooldowns
Set your edges. Breathe through each cooldown. Finish when you decide.
What is edging?
Edging is building arousal right up to the point of no return, stopping, letting it settle, and building again. Each cycle is one edge. Repeating the cycle trains timing and control, and it makes the finish you eventually allow far stronger than a rushed one. Long, deliberate sessions built on this loop are also called gooning.
How many edges should you do?
Beginners usually run 3 to 5 edges in a session. Fewer than 3 barely builds anything; past 5 takes practice to hold. Start at 3, and add one when a session starts feeling easy. The count matters less than actually stopping each time.
Why the breathing cooldown works
Arousal drops fastest when your nervous system gets a clear signal to settle, and slow breathing with a longer exhale is that signal. This timer paces you at 4 seconds in, 6 seconds out. Hands off for the whole cooldown. The ring can be extended by 10 seconds at a time, but it can never be cut short. A stop you can skip is not a stop.
How to use this timer
Pick how many edges you want and how long each cooldown lasts. Press the button each time you reach the brink, then keep your hands off and follow the ring until it releases you. After your last edge the button changes: the next press is the real one. Finish when you decide, not when you slip.
